Awwww. Isn't it cute?
I've been wanting to sign up for a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) for a long time and I finally did it. This one is Farm Fresh to You and the produce is grown in Anaheim, CA.
Overall, I am pleased with the contents of the box. The only thing I don't like in it are the bell peppers, of which there were five. I gave those away. The fruit is fantastic (apples and nectarines). Really sweet and very crisp, just the way I like it.
My challenge is eating everything while it's still fresh, which I don't think will be a problem. In fact, I welcome that challenge because it's a great way to get more fruits and vegetables into my diet.
I can't wait for my next box!
I meant to add that about being able to tell them what you absolutely don’t
want. Bell peppers will have to go on that list for us. I can’t wait to get
my next box!

You can actually request what NOT to add to your box on your account via their website. All squash is off our list. I’m willing to give beets another chance, but they may soon be added as well.
That’s one of the reasons I love them! They’re the only ones you can make requests like that to.
We’re on week 3 tomorrow and still loving it. Glad you’re happy!
Cool… I actually like peppers on salad. Have you ever seen those discs that supposedly absorb the ethylene gas that fruits and vegetables give off (causing them to decompose)? I think they have bags that do the same thing, to help slow down the spoiling process.
I didn’t know you could get FFTY in Socal. Having to figure out how to use everything in your box(including bell peppers) is a blast. Soon, you’ll be cooking stuff you never would have ever thought you would try. Wait until you get dandelion greens… gag!!!
OK. You made me sign up. Which made me de-lurk to thank you. Thanks!
