PAWS/LA’s annual fundraiser, Pet Art, is on November 4. It is such a fun event, and moi is a participating artist.
The work/guest room re-do is well under way and I love it. It’s amazing how much you can get done when you put your mind to it. The only thing left to do is some furniture set up and some jewelry supply organizing, so photos will be coming soon.
Last night, we could see the fires in Malibu burning from our balcony:
It’s about 13 miles away, you can see photos for scale here:

There’s a faint burnt smell in the air, but no ash or anything.
That picture gave me nightmares last night! I dreamt we were going to see you for a visit, but the fires were so bad and it was chaos everywhere. Ugh! I hate dreams like that.
Are you guys ok there? Are you getting any ash and smoke problems? How are the dogs? I wasn’t worried till I saw that picture.
Wow! That fire looks so close to me. I hope they can contain it soon. I was looking over your blog. There is so much stuff to read, but I really like it. I love your new stamp. I don’t think that spindle spinning is easy. But what a great gift from Mick. Keep practicing and you may be making your own yarn and knitting with it. — mom
